European Access Resource Center (Accessible EU), integrated Once Foundation, has developed a completely free online course in MOOC format in an accessible technology format. Registration is open until 00:00 (CET) on Friday, December 15.
AccessibleEU is part of the European Disability Strategy 2021-2030. The consortium responsible for the project is led by Fundación ONCE and formed by the European Network for Accessible Tourism (ENAT), the European Association of Service Providers for People with Disabilities (EASPD), Johannes Kepler University Linz (Austria) and Spanish. He New course To achieve accessibility and inclusive design, understanding the principles of universal design, distinguishing legal and technical regulations, knowing the current legislation in Europe will allow participants to understand that accessibility benefits all people and a goal is necessary. This introductory course consists of six modules: Accessibility and Inclusive Design, ICT Accessibility Acts and Standards, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Digital Accessibility Myths, Avoiding Inclusive Design Patterns, and Creating Inclusive Designs.
Course development
Its MOOC format allows students to complete the course at their own pace. To pass, completion of the self-assessment questionnaire is required and although not mandatory, participation in classroom forums is recommended.
This training is aimed at those interested in introducing ICT accessibility in organizations such as managers, developers, designers, editors or content managers. The course is available in English and the estimated time to complete it is 25 hours.
