HONOR is betting on the integration of AI for cell phones in its latest release

Ahead of World Mobile Crongress 2024, Honor is unveiling its new cell phone model and an artificial intelligence ecosystem for its upcoming products to simplify user operations and tasks. The Magic 6 Pro is the Chinese company's latest bet on phones and the Magic Book Pro 16 in its line of computers.

However, the presentation revolves around its new MagicOS 8.0 software, which seeks to improve the AI ​​ecosystem based on user intent, and to quickly meet user needs. “It's about moving to an era of human-intent-centric interface. That means opening apps, searching for things, reducing the steps we take on cellphones to accomplish something in one step. “Artificial intelligence guesses the user's 'intent' and makes it all easier with one touch,” said Honor's CEO George Zhao. explained.

The new operating system will be available on all HONOR mobile devices such as cell phones, computers, tablets, cars, tablets and more. Products integrate and share information to improve device performance by facilitating communication between gadgets.

AI based ecosystem

The Chinese company launched its Honor MagicOS 8.0 operating system and has been upgraded in four significant areas: smart connectivity, visual aesthetics, privacy, security and performance. By implementing artificial intelligence, the user is placed at the center of an interaction based on intent.

The new feature collects user data, learns what the user does on a daily basis and the apps they use to guess their intent. Likewise, it increases the speed of the process, making the action steps easier. MagicOS 8.0 achieves this with its new patented language on devices with seven million parameters. It also introduced Qualcomm's Hexagon Neural Processing Unit, which enables new hand, voice and eye interaction features, as well as new tools for photo and video editing.

The new ecosystem protects information security more effectively through local encryption and improves machine privacy by restricting cloud usage. In addition, it provides cooperation between mobile, computer and Internet of Things operating systems, and achieves more fluid transactions.

“We are excited to introduce MagicOS 8.0. “This is the culmination of our hard work by investing in enriching AI capabilities at the platform level and cultivating an AI ecosystem together with industry partners,” Zhao said in the presentation.

The operating system is now available in China with support for more than 100 popular applications with major categories such as travel, social networking, productivity, entertainment, search, shopping and food. Applications, thanks to compatibility, will make people services more convenient.

Magic Pro 6

The new Honor model, in addition to the integration of AI and its assistant LAMA 2, promises to dominate the phone market in terms of performance and photography.

In terms of camera development, its Honor Falcon 2.0 offers an improvement in the camera system, promising to improve motion captures with greater clarity and accuracy on new devices. According to the phone company, the new generation is capable of “capturing the perfect moving photo in milliseconds.”

Regarding the durability of the machine, they decided to use one of the most resistant glasses in the industry in the device, Shield Glass Pro, certified by SGS with five stars. On the other hand, it offered improvements to the battery in its new Silicon-Carbon 2.0 version, an innovation that will focus on improving its performance even in adverse conditions.
