Huawei is testing Giga Grid technology that is 10 times faster than 5G

Huawei’s Giga Grid technology promises speeds up to 10 times faster than current 5G and greater energy efficiency. It is already being tested in Argentina, Brazil, China and Saudi Arabia.

Aiming to achieve global connectivity with gigabits per second (Gbps) speeds in all global scenarios, Huawei seeks to combine user experience with high-speed connections and high energy efficiency.

5G involves using all available bands, allowing it to coexist with 4G and 3G technologies. In urban access points, the company has worked with solutions up to a maximum of 10 Gbps through split use of the 6 GHz band, thanks to products such as the TDD Limit AAU base station that supports 64 simultaneous transceivers. and 384 antenna elements; Unique solution so far in the market.

For rural areas, the Meta AAU solution integrates different spectrums into a single box, saving costs and processing time. In places without electricity, Huawei has developed solar-powered solutions, eliminating the need for fiber and equipment rooms.

In Brazil and Argentina, Huawei is testing prototypes of these new technologies, which are expected to be implemented in the near future. In Brazil, 5.5G technology is already being tested, and in Argentina, prototypes are in the testing phase.

In the case of 5.5G, Huawei highlights three key capabilities. The first is L4AN, which will replace operations and maintenance processes. The second is the ability to improve the network experience, resulting in higher user experience rates than today. The third and final capability is to redesign services.
